Contract Employee Benefits Manger role in Berwyn, PA with a large manufacturing company. The expected length is 3 months. The position will report to Director of US Benefits, flex hours (i.e. not all weeks will be 40 hours per week; some may be less depending on client’s needs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures compliance with government regulations through management of required reporting and disclosures including annual Forms 5500 filings and distribution of Summary Annual Reports and Annual Funding Notices.
• Serves as the primary contact and information source for annual benefit plan audits.
• Develops effective employee communications to improve the understanding of benefit plans including annual open enrollment material, new hire orientation and general education articles.
• Assists in the drafting and review of technical benefit plan communications including Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and SMM’s (summary material modifications).
• Provides research and ongoing review and interpretation of plan documents to determine benefit plan eligibility.
• Manage ongoing relationship with Group insurance vendor.
• Supports plan amendments for acquisitions, mergers and plan modifications.
• Interacts with various internal and external sources to problem solve and issue resolution.
• Works with vendors on the implementation of new plans and changes to existing plans (health and welfare, retirement and group insurance).
• Stays informed regarding benefit trends and legislation.
